How Nondesigners Contribute to Designing the Right Things.


Working with designers is often perceived stressful and difficult by “Nondesigners”! I often feel it in the projects i lead. In my latest article on UX Matters, I show a bird-eye view on the design process and give quick tips and tools for all the nondesigner-stakeholders. The purpose is to help this collaboration in order to facilitate the process of innovation.

I describe the difference between a “design brief” and a “design concept”, I show some examples of different granularities and I clarify the importance of framing correctly a design problem before jumping to the solution. At the end of my article I analyse more in details the creation of a good user story as a source of well framed design requirements and I provide a checklist of questions to verify it.
